Camp ZinZanni San Francisco is a summer workshop presented by Teatro ZinZanni for children nine to 16. Students learn the basics of circus arts and scene development through workshops with some of the world’s greatest cirque artists and stage technicians.
My 10. 5 year old was part of the inaugural group in SF (Seattle has had summer camp for 3 years). The experience was fabulous: not only did they get to be in the marvelous Spiegeltent to practice, they got to use the props and costumes that are actually used for the dinner theater and some of the instructors are the 'real' performers. Wonderful experience and very parent-friendly: nice intro the first day and Saturday, yes, Saturday performance so we could all come watch!
