My teen loves Coda Kid. She has a private tutor who has been teaching her how to code for two years. She looks forward to this time each week. We appreciate the quality of the teaching, especially since my daughter has severe special needs. Coda Kid was not concerned at all about their ability to teach her and they have! The camps are also great, keeping students engaged and motivated. Thank you, Coda Kid!
The topics the CodaKid tech camps offered are great for today’s kids. The small class size ensures all kids are learning.
We enjoyed the camp. While things start out fast, we felt comfortable by the mid-point and really picked up steam toward the end in terms of understanding and application. Lots of fun. A good foundation was established for future learning.
The staff was very friendly and patient and helpful. But the course was slow paced and not exciting enough for my son. He grew tired of it.
My daughter attended fall break camp here. She loved it! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and connect with the kids well. I was impressed by the coding she learned as it was her first time ever doing this. My daughter enjoyed the other students and the teachers. It had a family like atmosphere and it never seemed chaotic (as some kid camps can be). We wish it was closer to where we live, but as it is, we will definitely be coming back for other camps/opportunities.
My son loved the camp. I asked him if he made any friends and he told me 'everyone was his friend'. This comes I am sure from the positive environment the staff cultivates where any type of teasing, bullying has zero tolerance. He was so excited to go each day to camp, much more than any other camp he has been to, sport camp included.
Camps are great and the kids enjoy them while learning about coding.
Enjoyed the class & learn a lot & had a fun time!
I highly recommend it! This is the second time my son has participated in a CodaKid camp. It's the only camp he asks to do and looks forward to. He loves to game, and watch YouTube, like most ten year olds. At CodaKid Camp he learns how to do what the coders are doing. The teachers are patient and very talented. At the end of the camp, he presents his creation, and gets to share what he has learned. It's wonderful to see him feeling so proud and accomplished. It's a true growth opportunity, a skill builder, and investment in his future to explores what he loves.
We loved CodaKid! Our son had a fabulous time and made great friends. He learned a lot and stepped away with new curiosity for the tech world and new confidence in his abilities. It was great! We will definitely be using the classes during the school year. Great job CodaKid!
My child love the Zumi car coding class. I wish there were another level to the class but I feel like that may come in the future.
Great and fun camp! Taught my son to enjoy Coding.
I would recommend this camp to anyone. My daughter (age 10) participated in the Roblox coding camp and enjoyed it so much! She made an obstacle course and did a presentation of her work at the end of the week. She also enjoyed the fun games and physical activities provided by the staff. She met some great kids during the week and made some friends. Send your girls to coding camp - it's not just for the boys!
Our grandson Max, loved everything about camp. He was challenged daily. He was able to work at his own speed and excited at his accomplishment. He finished the activities and was given more advanced tasks. He’s already talking about returning next summer.
I can't recommend it highly enough! Third summer at this camp for my very intellectual son. He again loved the camp and being able to work somewhat independently at his own pace. The owner is very involved, a fantastic listener and makes it all about the kids.
Highly recommend!! Well organized and passionate about coding. The end result is that kids get a unique, beneficial and enriching experience.
My six year old loved the Minecraft camp! I was so impressed by his progress with coding in just 1 week.
My daughter was nervous to attend because it was her 1st summer camp without her cousins by her side. I was expecting a phone call that 1st day of her telling me that she wanted to go home. But there was no phone calls for the whole week. She had an amazing time. She said all the teachers were great and the kids were fun. Thank you so much for this experience! She can't wait to show all that she learned to her cousins!
My son loved this camp. He learned a lot, and had a great time. We will definitely be back next summer.
My son loved the camp! Everything was exceptional (the instructors, facility, curriculum, etc). My son came away educated, entertained and inspired.
Katherine always has a fun time and learns a lot at coding camp. She can't wait until summer!
My son had a blast, learned a lot, and had fun making new friends. Alex the instructor was supportive, challenging, and encouraging. Austin and David were always available to help with a welcoming smile. So...week 2 here we go...
My son LOVED the camp and has asked to do it again next year.
My son had a great time. Good mix of instruction and 'free' time.
Our daughter had no prior computer programming/coding experience and loved this Roblox camp! Wants to do it again and has learned so much!
We didn’t know what to expect when my 6 and 8 year kids went to Roblox and Minecraft camp. My 8 year old had a great time making obbys and showing her new talent. My 6 year old had a tough time at first with the keyboard, but the instructor was patient and helped her and even the manager called me to let me know then checked up on my 6 year old to make sure she was having fun. Both kids had a great time and loved showing off their creations. They look forward to going again.
This was a wonderful experience for our 10 year old - the staff is amazing and he learned so much!! Thank you!
I highly recommend it. My son thoroughly enjoyed the Robotics summer camp at Codakid. He had already done several camps involving Minecraft coding but loved the change to Robotics.
Great curriculum, friendly staff, knowledge instructors, many interesting classes, safe and supper fun environment.
My daughter loved the camp. She learned to program while playing her favorite games. She is eager to try at home what she learned. Thank you.
Our son had a great week. He wanted to arrive early and stay late, which is unusual for my kid who usually just wants to stay home. The camp provided a good balance of exercise and screen time. Plan to sign him up for more in the future.
Our experience at CodaKid camp was AMAZING. Our son is a quirky kid who gets anxiety about things but the teachers/counselors at Codakid really "got" him. They played to his interests and sense of humor to make him feel really comfortable and appreciated. Due to scheduling constraints, he was taking a class that he had taken before and they went out of their way to throw in some new material just for him so that he would not be bored, working with him one-on-one a bit. He enjoyed the work, really liked the grown ups and even made a new kid friend that he wants to stay in touch with (which is hard for him). These are definitely our boy's peeps but they also went out of their way to make sure he had a good experience. I only wish I had signed up for more Codakids this summer instead of some of the other stuff we have planned. We will definitely be back! Thank you Codakids!
I highly recommend Code-A-Kid!! They were very well organized and professional. They had several classes going at once, but they had lots of staff, and were on top of it all. They added other activities to the day camps so the kids weren't just sitting in front of a computer all day, but they focused on computer time to teach the kids what they set out to do. The staff was great, flexible, courteous, and helpful, they even fixed a glitch on my child's laptop for another game as a courtesy, which I thought was amazing service. They recommended their online classes as well, which we're definitely going to check out, it's a steal for the price.
We loved it!!! The teacher was engaging and my son will definitely be back next summer.
My son loved this camp! I thought that the day might feel long, but when I got there to pick him up, he always said he wanted to stay a few more minutes! The teacher was so nice and he taught my son how to code! Great camp, we will definitely do it again.
Great camp! They make learning fun! The teachers and staff are fabulous and have an excellent rapport with the kids!
The camp was great- second year in a row. My Grandson was in the Dimensions class. They learned how to create portals between worlds as well as create a super powered sword that could kill the endo dragon in one swipe. Staff is extremely patient and friendly. God of War, rocks! His class had a great time.
Wonderful experience! Highly engaging week long camp teaching the foundational skills of coding. Outstanding instructor who was knowledgeable, supportive, and patient.
Nolan, my grandson attended the 3D Game Development Camp at the Challenger Space Center in Peoria, Arizona. He stayed with me for the week since he lives an hour away. He was excited to get to class each morning and excited to tell me what he had accomplished each day. The leaders were helpful and willing to research questions when Nolan wanted to do something outside this particular curriculum. The camp was well worth the cost and the new skills he learned will be an asset in his Robotics class in school. Thank you.
"Ya! I would recommend this camp to a friend. Teachers were really nice, I had an awesome experience! They teach you every step of what mods do." A.R. Age 12
My son loves it!! He always has such an awesome time. His instructor ' Wonder Woman' was great. David Dodge helpful and cool guy!
My son absolutely loved the Minecraft coding, the indoor activities and the free play. He would definitely do another camp again!!
My son loved this camp! Great balance of coding, computer time and outside activities.
Isabel really enjoyed the camp and was looking forward to going every day. It was hard to get her to leave at the end of each session.
My kids absolutely love it! My son and daughter are in nine and eight, and they both have limited opportunities at school to study coding. It is a passion of theirs, and one that I hope to continue to encourage. My husband and I are not a computer experts, so we rely on the expertise of David Dodge and his crew to make the experiences at CodaKid engaging, educational, and fun! I do hope at some point to see more female instructors, to model for my daughter what her future might be. The program is great, and the staff is top notch!
My son absolutely LOVED this event! He came home with some cool mods for Minecraft and is already asking when he can go back again! I only wish there were more of the Code-A-Thon events in Chandler.
My sons (ages 7 an 9) really enjoyed the Junior Minecraft Modding camp. Their instructor was great and they learned some good skills and had fun doing it. We will definitely look to send them back for another class.
My child loved his experience in codakid summer camp. Learning basic coding terminology and the concept of coding kept his mind stimulated and engaged all while having fun. He didn't want the week to be over. I enjoyed seeing my child throughly enjoying his experience.
My son said this was his favorite camp all summer!! Thanks for a great experience!!
My son LOVED the class so much he signed up for another the next week! He learned a lot and had fun. He couldn't wait to go each day.
My daughter loved the camp and the teachers. She did say she didn't really learn anything, they just told her what to type. For the price I was expecting her to at least learn a little bit about Java. So that was disappointing. We might try again next year when she can do a more advanced camp.
My son Jones Harrison has been to camp their quite a few times and always loves it!! I don't remember his counselors name from last week but he said he was great!
Our grandson is truly enjoying his experience with CodaKid.
My son Adam loves the minecraft modding class. We did 4 of them so far and we are considering the summer camp for him.
My kids had a blast - would definitely have them attend again!
Our son LOVES these classes! He is always so excited when I tell him there is a class running over the school break, and so excited to join! We live in Canada, so we love that the classes run during the school breaks and summer, so he can attend when we are in the area! He is already asking when he can do the next class!
When I asked my son about the class, he said it was AWESOME! His favorite part was designing and testing the mod. We were easily able to install the mod on his home computer after the class.
Our boys (7 and 9 years old) had the opportunity to attend a Minecraft Coda-thon with their cousins in November 2015. They had the best time creating their own hammer - choosing different powers for their creation. The boys didn't even realize that the adults had left them (to have a nice adult dinner) during their code event. We returned to a very excited and very happy group, eager to return and learn more. We're hoping this can become a tradition for them, especially since we live in San Diego, where we don't have these events yet.
My son really enjoys the classes. The instructor is great with the kids!
Excellent program. My 14 year old son who never wants to do anything, willingly gave up his Saturday afternoons to attend a monthly Minecraft modding class. Ever since being introduced to CodaKid through a Friday night Cod a thon, he is very excited about it. The instructors are great, and very good with the kids. The kids have fun while learning real skills, and come away with a finished mod that they made themselves. My son was proud and excited. So glad we found this, so he has something he can be involved in outside of school.
We've completed 4 weeks of the Minecraft Foundations Course and attended 1 Codathon. My son is 11 and is enjoying the class and loves that each week he has something new to add to his game and is learning in the process. I am very happy with Codakid and we've signed up for the next session in November. I love that he is able to connect his passion with a practical skill!!! Happy Mom!
The staff was great. My son loved his first time there and wants to go back. He was so excited to show us what he had made when we picked him up.
CodaKid Kids Tech Camp night was AWESOME again!!! Cole brought his friend Andrew and their good friend, Emma. It was Emma's first time attending and she LOVED it as much as Cole did. BIG FUN for tweens on a Saturday evening!!! Thank you CodaKid for offering something affordable, educational and fun all at the same time. :-)
Great! Our 10 yr old son was nervous to go but super excited afterwards. He was so proud to show us his killer carrot he coded for Minecraft. He wants to sign up for more.
I would highly recommend Codakid to any parent. Our 7-year old son absolutely loves it. The classes are well thought-out and organized. The instructors are great! The curriculum is broken down so kids can understand it and feel successful. I am so glad we found Codakid.
We had an absolutely amazing experience. My children 9, 7, and 6 LOVED it. All were engaged and all said it was the best camp they have ever been to. The teachers were so kind and patient and David the owner worked so hard to make sure to create a camp that was a healthy and learning environment for all.
Ben really enjoys building, especially when it comes to special recognition. Ben really enjoyed creating the mazes and battle arenas. He really liked battling the Mobs. Y'all did a great job with all of the kids. Look forward to enrolling Ben in future CodaKid camps in the immediate future. Thanks again. Wally & Cara
Great camp! My son enjoyed his week with CodaKid and can't wait to get back.
My son loved it! He really liked his counselor and enjoyed all of the activities they did. Now that the camp is over we are looking into signing him up for weekly classes as well. Would highly recommend Codakid to anyone who has kids that love computers and Minecraft.
My daughter attended the Animation Camp last week, and it was fabulous. Great instructor, very patient, and she learned so much. They had some time for physical activity which she (surprisingly) enjoyed as well. And even the lunch option was excellent. This organization and the staff do a great job, and would highly recommend! Thank you to all!
My sons ages 7 and 9 really liked learning to code and spending time with other children who like to code and enjoy Minecraft. They were properly exercised at Amenzone and enjoyed that physical aspect of camp. Thank you for providing this opportunity for the Scottsdale community. The facility and staff were bright and welcoming.
My son had a great time and learned a lot. The teacher was fantastic!
I was not able to observe my 3 kids (8, 10, and 11) while they were attending the class, and I don't have specifics on what they covered or learned, but all three of them loved it and immediately asked if they could do it again.
Our son had a great time at the camp! Every day he created something new and spoke glowingly of the program. He said it was his favorite camp of the summer. Any questions I might have had about the program were quickly answered and one very minor issue was quickly resolved. I can't wait to send my son back there for some of their programs during the school year.
My son was so disappointed that the last day of the week long summer camp had arrived. He loved everyday. We will most assuredly be signing up for more classes or camps!
Wonderful camp! My son thoroughly enjoyed the week. The days flew by for him! So glad we found CodaKid!
Wonderful experience....my son was talking about how great camp was from pick up at four til bedtime! Was so excited the next morning counting hours til camp started for the day! Great job!
Once again, I loved my CodaKid summer camp! It was fun, the staff is great, and I learned a lot. Thanks, CodaKid! :-)
By far my sons favorite camp EVER!! Program and instructors were AWESOME!
Tristan really enjoyed this camp! I found that the instructors were very pleasant and encouraging to the kids. They found something special about each child to remark upon at the conclusion of the camp, which showed me that they took personal interest in their improvement. Their days were jam packed with different activities so it wasn't boring or repetitive. Thank you for creating this wonderful program!
From my son: He learned a lot. It was fun. He met new friends. Instructors were kind. And he like the games they played during the day. From Mom: I liked that it was all day. Though it was a 25-30 minute drive for us, the building was convenient to get to and there was always parking available. I thought the people I met during drop off/pick up were professional and friendly. The building is very cool space to work. My son could not wait to get there. I could really see the interest and enthusiasm for going.
My boys loved going to camp and were sad to see it end at the end of the week. They enjoyed the instruction, the challenge, the instructor and even the fitness break in the middle of the day. I would highly recommend this for kids who are interested in learning to write computer code and those who want to stretch their imagination a bit.
Very impressed! This was my son's first camp with CodaKid. He had a fabulous time and learned a lot. He liked it so much we signed up for another week. The staff was fun and professional. Great customer service. There was a mix up in his registration and they went above and beyond to make it right.
I would highly recommend this camp! My grandson thought the camp was awesome. Each day he was excited to go and learn which is not always the case with school. The camp is set up so the kids learn and have a great time doing it. My grandson enjoyed it so much I have signed him up for another week in August.
My daughter came home happy every day, and has asked to do CodaKid all summer, next summer. At 8 yrs old, she's neither detail oriented, nor particularly tolerant of frustration, and has not had significant prior exposure to coding, so I was pleased that her enthusiasm remained high, even at the end of 2 wks of this activity. A side benefit was that the associated exercise at Amenzone sparked a new interest in working for better health, an activity she had previously deemed unworthy of her energy and attention. Possibly, the high quality of the interior decorating of the camp might have informed and elevated her taste in that area, as well.
From my 8-1/2 year old: "Too good. Too fun. Five stars!!!" He came home every day bursting with excitement about all he had learned in his camp. Definitely worth the money.
Bennett's favorite part of the camp was designing a block into a pick axe. He also thought his instructor Sam was awesome and he definitely plans on attending another camp.
If your child loves video games and computer time, then this is an awesome program! Our 10 year old son was absolutely beaming when we picked him up, so proud of the mod he had designed and talking on and on about how computer languages work. Definitely a positive experience!
Our 11-year-old son absolutely loved the 2-hour modding class he attended. He enjoyed the instructors and thought the campus was "cool". We will definitely be regulars going forward.
Highly, highly recommend! A unique find for our Son; could not have picked a better place for him to do computer related things for a camp. Great staff, safe environment; classy all around. Don't miss out!
My son (10) loved it and he's ready to take on more coding activities. Great intro and kept their attention.
My husband and I are so thankful for this awesome place and it's incredible staff! Ask my 11-year-old daughter where her favorite place to "hang out" is...she'll tell you CodaKid! And how lucky are we that she has picked a positive, learning environment. I am so impressed with CodaKid's owner, David Dodge. He has designed classes and programs to teach our kids what they are most passionate about AND has selected a staff that is engaged and dedicated to making sure our kids have fun while learning how to code. We are so lucky to have a place Ike CodaKid available to us in the Valley!
I purchased the camp for my 10 year old and he enjoyed all aspects of the class. He was able to learn and collaborate with other students. For him, it was a fun and informative experience and he was able to make some new friends along the way.
