Pied Piper Players is a family-based, community theater company with more than 10 years of award-winning experience working with children and their families. Our Summer Theater Conservatory draws upon this experience, creating a place for young thespians to learn more about their craft as well as the elements involved in mounting a full staged production.

Pied Piper Players’ Summer Theater Conservatory provides a personalized environment with a staff ratio of 1:7. We offer two three-week-long sessions where every child participates in each aspect of the production:

Daily Schedule of Activities
Children will audition for and receive parts in the production. Each morning the conservatory will conduct workshops focusing on a particular skill or aspect of the theater, e.g dance, tech, singing, etc. For each workshop, actors will be divided into groups that will best benefit their development. In the afternoon, the focus will be on show production.

12:15–3:00: Show Rehearsal
3:00–3:15: Daily Wrap-Up
Each session culminates in fun, family friendly performances that friends and relatives will enjoy!
Extended Hours (Optional)
Morning Care
Children may be dropped off between 8:00am and 9:00am each morning. Two adults will be on hand to supervise. PPP will not offer organized activities during this time but materials will be available for the children to keep busy including games and art supplies.
Afternoon Intensives
Children will enjoy additional workshops further enhancing skills introduced during the conservatory hours. No actual rehearsals for the main production will occur during this time. Children might put together a short scene, work on monologues, or participate in workshops led by staff and outside professionals.

Details
Space is limited to 35 participants per session, ages 7 and up. Performances are scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday afternoon of the last weekend of camp. Registrants must be available for both performances in order to participate.
