Overview

Explore Biology, Make Friends, and More This Summer at The Lawrence!

Why do some animals live in groups, like a pride of lions or a school of fish? Fifth and sixth grade campers learn to observe animals and investigate their behaviors to gain an understanding of why they do what they do. Design experiments and step into our Animal Discovery Zone and Outdoor Nature Lab to put newfound observational skills into practice. This program is perfect for animal lovers and future biologists.

In addition to engaging their creativity through invention, campers will explore all The Lawrence has to offer, from 3D science films to hands-on exhibits:

  • Interactive Planetarium: Discover what can be seen in the night sky and explore the solar system and beyond! Questions and curiosity are encouraged in our one-of-a-kind interactive Planetarium shows.
  • Animal Discovery Zone: Meet and interact with live reptiles, mammals, and amphibians! Our animals and knowledgeable staff are experts who can answer burning questions about animal habits and habitats.
  • 3D Theater: Witness science on the big screen in our new 3D Theater! This summer, follow the epic journeys of three species of birds in Wings Over Water, and immerse yourself in the world of the king of dinosaurs in T. REX.
  • Outdoor Nature Lab: Explore the wonders of nature in our backyard! Grab a magnifying glass and let curiosity be your guide to our habitat featuring native flora and fauna. The Outdoor Nature Lab also offers plenty of space for campers to run and play with their new friends.
  • …And More!
