Our Staff

My name is Inna Bayer and I want to welcome you to my school.I opened my school in the belief that all children can learn to dance. In learning to dance they can share and appreciate beauty, culture and art. By enriching a child's world, we open it up to be a joyful place. I hope all children will have the opportunity to work hard and celebrate whatever success they are capable of and learn that with diligence comes achievement—an invaluable life lesson. For children with the goal of a professional career my school offers the excellent ballet education with great attention to detail that will serve as an ideal foundation for an adult dancer.

Bayer Ballet Academy is the best ballet school in the Bay Area. Period. We went to several schools up and down the Peninsula before settling on this one. Knowing the school, I think that some of the negative reviews on this page are from folks that don't understand the school's mission. This is not a place you put your kid just to have a cultural activity a couple days a week or to keep them busy over the Summer. It's a Ballet school with a capital B. They expect your commitment two to four days a week, depending on the level. And they get results. Some of the kids dancing here at even as young as 7-8 years old are astonishingly accomplished for their age Their 13-14 year old dancers rival dancers at the local professional ballet companies (one just won the World Ballet Competition). So, if you want your child to have a solid, serious ballet education and/or the benefits of that (grace, discipline, flexibility) - this is the place for you.

The Pre-Ballet program is excellent. The teachers are wonderful and caring. They not only technique, but movement and creative visualization as well, which the younger children love. The pre-professional performance program for the older children has both pros and cons. The students are introduced to a good combination of stretching, character and ballet technique classes. Inna Bayer is an instructor with a background in teaching and performing. Inna's attention to the details of the technique is a positive and has greatly helped. I would recommend the professional performance program at BBA.

My son has had the pleasure of attending this school for the last 18 months. B.B.A. is one of the few ballet schools in the Bay Area that includes a serious program for boys and young men. This is a top notch school where your son or daughter will receive the proper training that a dancer needs. We have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the school. My son has enjoyed performing in both the Winter and Spring productions. The Director, Inna Bayer, along with the rest of the teaching faculty are devoted to giving the students excellent instruction. I recommend this school for any child that wants to work hard, and takes their ballet training seriously.
