Dawn Fitzgerald's Academy

Thank You for visiting the website of Dawn Fitzgerald's Academy of Dance. Located in Nederland, TX we are in the heart of the Golden Triangle and provide an exceptional dance experience for dancers ages 3 and up. Dawn Fitzgerald's Academy of Dance is under the direction of Dawn Swindel. Dawn possesses a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance and has extensive experience in all areas of dance. A native of Nederland, Dawn has participated and excelled in all areas of dance. Like many of our current dancers, Dawn started dancing at age 3 and developed a love of dance and a burning desire to excel. From age 3 through college Dawn participated in a variety of dance classes, was a member of numerous competition dance teams, was a Drum Major, a competitive twirler that won many state and regional competitions; achieved 2nd in the nation in USTA Twirling Nationals. She was a cheerleader at Nederland High School as well as Lamar University where she achieved the position of "Head Cheerleader" for 3 years.
