Overview

Our #1 goal: Learning should be fun and engaging. Learn the fundamentals of math and geometry while designing your favorite Pokemon.

Every class has math and geometry questions relevant to your 3D designs.

This is an intermediate-level class to 3D design and 3D printing. You should have some knowledge of 3D designing using TinkerCAD. We will show you advance tips and tricks to 3D design and 3D printing.

Our instructors have graduated from some of the top engineering schools in the country and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the classroom as our students will explore the methodologies, approaches, and principles of engineering through 3D modeling and design. We have years of experience in teaching a variety of engineering disciplines as well as 8+ years in work experience in the engineering field for a variety of different industries.

This is our initial launch to formalize 3D printing, engineering, and design to all age groups regardless of experience or age. Our goal is simple: we want to cultivate the next generation of engineers by introducing them to 3D design and 3D printing while teaching fundamental engineering concepts in a fun and relatable way! Come join us for a hands-on learning adventure that will bring unique challenges and push your innovation skills!

Every week, we challenge ourselves to create a new design.

You can pick either meeting once per week or 4 times per week.

What is 3D Printing?
3D Printing or additive manufacturing (as it is known in the industry) is the construction of three-dimensional objects from a CAD model or a digital 3D model. Join us for an enriching and fun learning session to understand the basics of 3D printing and get an introduction to engineering!

What will we be doing in class?
In this online course, the students will learn 3D modeling, printing, 3D model image conversion, and other foundational/critical concepts to become proficient in 3D printing while taking into consideration the major design elements that an engineer tackles in the real world. The course will uncover the core processes behind 3D printing and reveal one of the most powerful capabilities of the 3D printing revolution! Our goal through this course is to demystify 3D printing and improve the accessibility and understanding for all aspiring engineers and innovators!

How do I start?
You do NOT require a 3D printer to enroll in this course. Upon request and sign-up for subsequent classes, we can print and ship the finished 3D item to you. We have an option for a wide range of ages to join the course as our goal is to provide 3D printing knowledge/access to all ages, skills, and education levels. With that said, when we break into working groups, we will group students through a variety of factors including age, interest, proficiency, etc. We aim to ensure that students are progressing consistently as they move forward with classes (if they choose to do so). We try to maintain a 1:6 teacher to student ratio.

Ages: 9 and above

The teacher was very attentive, kind, pleasant and cheerful with all the children participating in his class. He helped each one to do the exercise by taking the remote control of their session and giving them a live demonstration. It was a relaxed, happy and fun environment. I highly recommend the class!

My twelve year old son has created some impressive work during the 3D Printing and Design classes this summer. Alex has been attentive and supportive to each individual based on their skill level (we joined later in the season). The classes are interactive and a productive use of time for my son. We just received our first set of prints and you can tell that Alex has made sure that they turn out just like the images used as a guide for the design. Another plus, the schedule was flexible, with plenty of time slots throughout the day to join!
