SPARK is a summer program established with the desire of creating a safe, comfortable, nurturing and academically rewarding environment. Our goal is to broaden the mind and imagination, encourage creativity, discovery and a passion for learning. And let´s not forget fun! Our program is open to students entering grade 4 thru 8. SPARK is a academically enriching and physically motivating program that nurtures creativity and individuality while learning. takes students on an diverse educational journey that is an exciting departure from the time-honored classroom method. Courses are developed to transform students from spectators to participants by allowing them to approach learning from an innovative-and fun-perspective. At SPARK, students can learn how to design their own web site, or discover how to investigate a crime scene. Academics takes on a different meaning at SPARK. The focus is placed on student involvement. For instance, rather than simply reading about chemistry, students will be conducting their own experiments. At SPARK, we believe that doing is seeing. For that reason, students should be prepared to open their minds and get their hands dirty. Our courses are not your average middle or high school classes. There are not tests, quizzes or homework. The only requirement when it comes to learning is to have a great time. From Monday through Thursday, students will attend four full courses throughout the day. Fridays are reserved for "college experience" days which may include local or campus field trips. SPARK offers courses on the Cook and Douglass Campus in New Brunswick, NJ.
