Fireflies

The Fireflies Class is designed to provide three and young four year olds with a half-day ($275/week) or full day ($425/week) of activities that emphasize social and emotional growth and encourage exploration of the physical space in a safe and nurturing environment. Fireflies explore weekly themes through games, music, stories, dramatic play, crafts and activities. Fireflies also have an opportunity to participate in resources including art, cooking, music/drama and science; as well as water play in Beauvoir’s on-site wading pool. This program has week to week registration. Beauvoir’s counselors have early childhood experience and are committed to developing a child’s sense of self-worth. They also understand that children have an innate sense of wonder about the world around them and a need to explore their surroundings in a safe and nurturing setting. It is the goal of every counselor to provide that opportunity for all of our campers. All Fireflies must be three years old by May 1, 2011 and must be fully toilet trained. No exceptions will be made. We strongly encourage that children who turn four before January 2011 be enrolled in the Camp Adventures program.
