About
Embark Labs
Embark Labs is an education program that teaches elementary and middle school kids design and computational thinking in a hands-on, collaborative way. We have worked with 500+ families through our events at Google, Cisco and the Computer History Museum. We are running multiple weeks of summer programs (June-Aug 2015) and are partnering with several K-8 schools to offer our programs during/after the school day.

You can get a sense of our programs from these pictures and videos on our YouTube channel.

Embark Labs was recently featured in this brief documentary, The Coding Generation, about how to increase diversity in the tech industry. Check it out and spread the word!

Embark Labs provided our bright 9 year old grandson Ben with a highly skilled and well presented computer program. As a former educator, I was very impressed with the clear goals and objectives of his one week Coding class and it's linkage to MIT's science programs. Ben loved every minute of the program, could never wait to get there in the morning and hated that he could not take even more classes at that time. Ben had to return home to Riverside.( I hope the program goes to Southern California.) Ben wants to return to another session of Embark next summer in Palo Alto. We hope to take him back to the program, too! Congratulations Embark Labs on creating a welcoming and stimulating science class for students!

This is such a great alternative to the standard summer camp! It was clear to see the children learning through hands on activities. The teachers were energetic, patient and eager to help the children.
