Blueprint Summer Programs

My daughter attended the blueprint program at UCLA and had an absolutely awful experience. The camp was extremely unorganized. It was extremely expensive and I am not sure where my money went. I do not recommend. Spend your money somewhere else! My daughter said most of her time was spent sitting on her phone and there were never activities plan. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS.

Has to be one of the worst summer programs out there. This "organization" aims t coin itself as an education-college Prep summer program. I completed the UCLA session A and basically you hire staff who are not qualified, you manipulate parents out of their money by using prestigious and popular Universities in your marketing. The BluePrint Summer Program is a stand alone program. There is no oversight for the teens who are routinely allowed to "fraternize" after hours in each others dorms. The "lead teacher” and “College Prep” Teacher could not answer any questions from their students. The students are 13 to 17 years of age. A few students were yelled at for challenging the poor College Prep PPT slides. Please DRUG TEST your new hires, they are underachieving temps who have no teaching experience or youth development skills. From Day 1 until Day 2 it was completely chaos and disorganized. BluePrint says Safety is #1 but on day 1 students arrived from NYC, China, Saudi Arabia and were forced to wait hours due to poor planning with a shuttle bus. We transported the students to their dorms via Uber and Lyft. I reached out to the company’s CEO and HR Manger and of course they deactivated my account hours later because they can care less about what goes on in the field. Room assignments, technical devices, meal cards and dorms were not functioning on day 1. It's ridiculous! The hosting universities could not care less because they are guaranteed a check from BP Summer programs. The Org. essentially borrows the prestige and name of the schools they are at and offer ridiculously below-standard products and College Prep services. Spend your $3000 to $5000 elsewhere, trust me, there are emergency rooms that run smoother than the this program. Several students were crying for food, parents removing their students due to lack of interest, students playing video games during class and NO SNACKS were offered between lunch and dinner. The only reason I stayed the entire time was because I genuinely love those students. You will need to take Tylenol every single day to deal with your team.

We are dealing with minors and we did not complete a drug test. Sums it up!

My daughter attended the Blueprint summer program at Lehigh University. She had an amazing time and met so many great people. She attended the writing camp which was perfect for her since is wants to be an English major in college. It also looked great on her college applications! I would highly recommend this a summer program for high school students.

I had an absolutely amazing time while at a BluePrint camp. I went to Leigh University and took the Psychology course. Since it was my first time participating in something like this so I only stayed for one week, however, this was a big mistake. I made so many friends and had such a great time that I didn't want to go home. We got to do ice cream socials, tie-dye our tee-shirts, and even go to Hershey theme park. The Psychology course I participated in showed me what a college class would be like and actually showed me how excited I was to participate in something like that. I loved the campus but the freshmen dorm themselves were not that great, but that wasn't BluePrint's fault as the campus provides them. Overall, I had an amazing experience and I would love to have another trip to a new college one day.

I had reservations about trying a new program for my daughter but Blueprint turned out to be the best decision of the summer! My daughter had an exceptional week at Lehigh and it was by far better than other academic summer programs she has attended in the past.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her experience during the program at UVA. She enjoyed meeting other students from all over the country from all types of backgrounds. There was a good balance between the course work and the fun. She definitely wants to go through another Blueprint program on another campus so that she can compare the experience and make a choice about the type of college that will be best for her.

The instructors were engaging, knowledgeable and FUN! My son learned both what forensic scientist do, and what the work environment is like! He is now sure he would like to work in this field. On campus he made many friends very quickly and regularly communicates with them months later. Actually, this was a life-changing experience!

Great experience from beginning to end with Blueprint! The programs were well taught, the staff was always nice and friendly while still being very detailed and instructive and the experience was just what they said it would be.

Not only is it an exciting way to spend your summer, but you’ll get to experience life on a college campus, explore new and exciting fields you may want to pursue as for college majors and make friendships with people from around the globe.

My son enjoyed the program at UVA. Getting to actually stay in a college dorm and experience the college life, eating at the dining hall and being around other like minded kids etc. for a few weeks helped him with the transition this past fall. The price was worth it by a long shot considering he got all A's and B's his first semester. Planning on doing it again with my daughter in a few years.

What a great college enrichment summer program for teens! My daughter loved the location, the activities, the staff and her experience. Highly recommended if your teen has any kind of anxiety or fear about going off to college.

DO THIS PROGRAM. It was the best summer of my life. The balance between class and free-time is perfect- you will learn a lot about the topic of your class while still having ample time to enjoy your summer. I met so many fascinating, mature, and globally-minded people, and have made life-long friends. You will become a completely new person at the end of this program. I feel much more mature, and my exposure to many international students during this program has sparked my curiosity for other peoples and cultures. This is truly a one in a lifetime opportunity. Please, do yourself a favor- ENROLL IN THIS PROGRAM.

Great experience with the Blueprint pre-college summer program! A lot of pre-college programs that we've sent our son to are pretty overwhelming and with their stress free environment it really helped him get ready for college in a way I couldn't have imagined. I highly recommend Blueprint Summer Programs for any high schools student and parents!

Camp Blueprint was a great community! Teachers and classes were very interesting and enjoyable and I'm glad I did it! There is lots of support and people to guide and help you as you transition in your first year. Lots of programs and events all the time to keep you busy and to enjoy with friends!

This was a terrible experience for my child. Overall, I rate it D- The pros are: cool to stay in college dorms and go to college dining hall, good practice learning to navigate through UVA campus, and some other nice kids at camp. The cons are: very overpriced, incompetent staff, horrible academic program, insufficient supervision, overal “ghetto” environment. Some examples, my child booked two weeks. For the weekend, she and other campers were left completely alone. There was one planned activity (King Dominion) from Friday through Sunday. The counselors told the kids to got find “something to do in town.” Dinner was pizza, but only 1 slice. If you asked for more, the kids were told to order food delivery. If you didn’t bring your own money to pay for extra food, you were out of luck. Supervision was very minimal. Kids skipped classes with no one checking to see where they are. Boys and girls freely hooked up and spent the nights having sex in each other’s rooms. DO NOT GO!!!!

This is a college enrichment summer program for teens. Major false advertising. Children calling their parents after 2 days and leaving because there are no activities on campus, no wifi, only 2 hrs of scheduled pool time even though it is 100 degrees every day there. Signed a paper to go to a ropes course team building center that they never did. Every day I have been receiving texts from my 2 honor society children that their is nothing to do besides ping pong, tennis, basketball and some crap they bought from the dollar store. They are to be taking classes to prep for college and hearing seminars. Classes are being taught by low budget employees that needed summer jobs and don't care about anything. Class locations are changed at the last minute. Son missed a class because of that. Very unorganized. I paid $4150 per child times 2. So roughly $8000+ for basically a dorm room and college food for 2 weeks. All the money is going to staff. I have been calling program director daily and getting complete lies. She said my kids are liers and many kids are happy. If they were happy parents wouldn't be picking them up early. I asked for a higher up to call me. Got a call last night with the same lies. I explained that we are veterans of summer programs for 10 years and have never experienced anything so horrible. They are also scamming people out of $200 for airport transport for their children when I know better that it is an $11 UBER ride to airport. The owner's name is Justin Laman. Apparently, he has had many failed businesses and he is a failed lawyer. Shame on him for now scamming children and families. He has taught all of his staff to lie about what is going on. I explained to the COO that this type of business is all word of mouth and I will tell everyone how bad this program is.
