A Reptile-Themed Party!

Have a reptile-themed party, where I bring the reptiles to you! From tongue flicking and shedding skin to reptiles you can find in your own backyard, I cover many topics in my 45-minute program using an assortment of props and live animals! For very young audiences (4 years and under) I focus mostly on colors, feels, and how snakes are different than people. For older kids I focus on the food chain, environment and ecological benefits of snakes and reptiles. For all ages, I talk about what makes an animal a reptile, what makes snakes so unique, native snakes to the area, and more! Most of my reptiles and amphibians are native species, making them great examples of what you might find in your own backyard. Watch as your students transform into hognose snakes displaying their impressive defense mechanism: rolling onto their back to play dead! Finally, one of the most exciting parts of these programs is when kids actually get to watch a snake eat a [frozen/thawed] mouse firsthand! This is a great way to demonstrate the food chain in action! After the program is done, I stay an additional 20-30 minutes to allow the audience to touch and feel the reptiles again.
