Helpful and educational for my child. Would be good to extend to two sessions a day.

There was no information or instructions on how to join the class. It was advertised as online but there was no zoom link provided. I contacted the provider to request information but received no response. My son didn’t get to participate or attend any of the sessions because of this.

My son a attended the Fast Math course. He had a great time and learned a lot of new information.

The instructor was great, and our son had good time and learned a lot too.

The instructor has an open heart to take suggestions and adjust the course content accordingly to better meet the needs of the students.

Highly recommend! The camp was great. My 11-year-old daughter learned a lot and got along her with instructor well. No tech issues with the program or Zoom. We downloaded the mac version of Inkscape and there were no problems (you can also download the windows version). She learned the basic tools of the application with her instructor's guidance and was able to apply them to design simple images like company logos and animals.

Although we enjoyed the class, be aware that if you sign up for a class with Young Gates, they will aggressively keep calling you afterward to ask you about taking further classes. At first, one call was OK with me. But at this point, call after call, I'm super annoyed. I don't believe there is a way to hide your phone number from vendors so if being called repeatedly would bother you, you might want to reconsider.

Good experience! I loved the entire curriculum as well as the way the instructor taught the classes. I have already registered my son with them for 1 and 1 classes 2 a week with same instructor.

It was good for my son to be challenged. It was good for him to have someone else in the place of teacher in his life.

I WOULD PROVIDE A ZERO IF I COULD! I would advise ActivityHero to take this feedback very seriously and determine if this instructor and course provider is fit to work with children. STEER CLEAR!
This was absolutely the worst class my child has ever attended. Here's our experience, the first day out of frustration, for reasons described below, my child made the mistake of moving stickers around on his Rubix cube. The teacher asked to speak with me and I was told that the Rubix was unusable and we needed to get another one. I spoke directly with the teacher, acknowledged the feedback and told him I would be in touch. We fixed the Rubix cube as my child really wanted to learn to solve his Rubix. My child was ready ad excited on day 2 to return to class and learn the Rubix cube which, mind you, is not an easy task. The instructor on this day kept asking my child to look at him when he was being talked to, then he yelled at my child asking him "do you really want to learn Rubix?" The instructor made him cry and forced him to leave the class after hardly 20 minutes of joining. It was EXTREMELY disappointing and really discerning to hear this type of feedback from an 8-year-old child while you're in meetings at work. I would definitely NEVER again allow my child to be around this instructor as his teaching process involves demeaning, degrading, and dismissing young learners.
Objectively here was our experience and challenges overall with the class:
- Poor equipment/connection and difficulty hearing the instructor
- Multiple students expressed inability to hear and understand the instructor
- Talked too fast and moved quickly through steps without confirming comprehension (assumed all children were experts)
- Condescending tone and loud tone when asked for help
- Lack of patience

The instructor did a very good job. My daughter was able to follow the instructions and she started solving the cube.

My 11 years old son enjoys the graphic design class. The class teaches him how to use the software and be creative to make his own design.

This is an awesome class. My son really enjoyed it. He was able to create his first phone App at the first day. Within a week, he built many fun Apps. He had a lot of fun. It was all hands on lessons. We are so glad to enrolled this online camp. Highly recommended.

The instructor, the arduino class was amazing. She went above and beyond. She was patient and very knowledgeable.

Fantastic. My sons were so sad when the class ended, they really enjoyed their instructor and classmates and found the content to be helpful and inspiring. I am so pleased that we signed up.
