(Scratch #GameMaker: In-Person Camp)
August 9, 2025 - Cathy Chase
My kid really loved the Scratch Gamemaker camp! During the week she coded 12 different games and animations. At the end of camp, the kids gave a presentation to parents where they demoed their games and even explained the code behind them. The instructor did a great job posing critical questions to bring out the kids' ideas and scaffold them through their presentations. My older daughter has done tons of coding camps and classes, and for many of them she just played games and didn't do much actual coding and she's certainly never had to give a presentation or explain her code to her parents. But this camp actually has a solid curriculum. I was amazed at how much my daughter learned in a week at this camp! She hopes to return next summer!

My child turned from a novice in coding to a proficient in the course . The course structure is staggered perfectly to enable children to strengthen their coding skills. The classes are very creative and interactive and my child enjoys the classes thoroughly.
