In the fall of 1980, a group of Ohr Kodesh parents formed a Jewish nursery school. These parents wanted a synagogue-based nursery school that would provide a warm atmosphere that fostered positive Jewish experiences. The school would be a place that would encourage nurturing relationships; provide positive play experiences; and foster an understanding of each child's unique needs and abilities.
In the first year, there were three classes of three and four year olds with a total enrollment of 35 students. Over the years, the school has grown to more than 100 students in ten classes. It now includes a parent-toddler class, four classes of two-year-olds, two classes of three-year-olds and three classes of four-year-olds.
