Writopia Lab Creative Writing Workshops for Kids and Teens
Writopia Lab is a national community of young writers, ages 8-18. Founded in New York City in 2007, Writopia Lab has now spread to Greater New York, Greater Washington, and Los Angeles.
Parents: At Writopia, your kids enjoy individual attention, fun writing games, loungy couches and laptops, and, best of all, completing a wonderful original story with the help of a published author!
Kids: Do you love the idea of developing your first short story, script, or memoir? Or, if you are already a prolific writer, are you thrilled by the idea of polishing exceptional new pieces? Or have you had less positive experiences, and would like to join a community that can change your entire feeling about writing?

Our Staff
Tim Rogers Chair / Board of Directors Co-Chair, Audit Committee Member, & Executive Committeer
Tim is mayor for the Village of New Paltz, NY, where he lives with his family. He has been an active supporter of Writopia Lab and has served on the board since its inception in 2007, advising on everything from short-term problem solving to general business development. After business school at NYU, Tim served as Vice President at Eagle Advisors for a decade where he made investment management decisions for the multi-billion dollar family office of the founder of a large software company. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts from Siena College and an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern. His children have been attending Wricampia every summer since they were toddlers in 2014 and now, in middle and high school.
