During this class taught by Ms Nika, students will learn about the story ballet Sleeping Beauty and create their very own Fairy Variations! Students will learn about the history of the ballet, including how the libretto(story), costumes, sets, choreography, and music came together to create an original 3 act production that ballet companies still perform today.
We will learn about the gift-giving fairies in the Prologue that bless Princess Aurora with Joy, Gentleness, Attitude, and more and each create our own Fairy based on them with a unique personality, prop, and dance! All your student needs to bring is a small item to dance with such as a wand, plush toy, book, etc. Dance experience recommended but not required.
