American Chess Academy does not have upcoming sessions on ActivityHero right now. We can send you an email when they do.
American Chess Academy offers classes in chess for kids. We believe in offering an opportunity to every child to excel in their own way. Our training programs are designed not only to teach them the tactics of chess, but also the importance of practice and hard work. We also offer after school programs, where kids eet once per week, after school for one hour. Students are introduced to a new lesson each week, which includes new strategies and techniques.
As part of each class, students practice new strategies through partner-play including Checkmate & Stalemate, Pawn Structure, In-Your-Face & Back-Rank Checkmate Patterns, Pawn Promotion, King & Rook Checkmate, Draws, Center Board, Object of the game, Piece Development, Piece movement, Piece Value & Exchange, Introduction to Checkmates, Castling & Development, Checkmate with two rooks and Endgame Basics.
