Ascendly

Starting with curious kids, we give them the desire, the skills, the confidence, the competence, and the resources to build cool stuff.  Kids graduate from Ascendly classes thinking like an engineer, talking like an engineer, building like an engineer, and solving problems like an engineer. 

Every lesson strives to combine a technical skill, critical thinking, and an open ended project.  We don’t buy kits, nor use instruction booklets.  We teach specific skills, provide goals, and then let the children explore the many ways they can progress towards that goal.  We make a safe environment for the kids to fail on a project, so that a successful build becomes deeply ingrained and not soon forgotten.  

Each student gets to use their own tools and supplies letting them truly explore and grow. One of the biggest joys in life is to point to something, and say, “I made that!”  Ascendly kindles that joy in young children and prepares them for a lifetime of creating.  Such preparation is good for the students, the communities, and the country.
