About
ATX KIDS CLUB

ATX KIDS CLUB has a mission to spark kids’ natural curiosity through urban-based field trip adventures that build character, self-awareness, and resiliency.

ATX KIDS CLUB is an Austin-based 501c3 nonprofit that provides life-changing adventure field trips for children ages four to 13 years old. In partnership with CapMetro, we introduce kids to their extraordinary city by exploring it together in small, tightly knit groups. Our young adventurers learn how to use public transportation, problem-solve as a team, and experience firsthand some of Austin’s most prized treasures. More importantly, they develop a sense of self-confidence and independence during their most formative years that will shape their lives in significant ways.

Through our field-trip experiences, children learn about their region's history, art, culture and environment. Our program provides children with the knowledge of how to explore Austin using the public transportation system and between our public bus and ATX Vans, campers are able to experience many of Austin's landmarks and surrounding areas. Convenient drop off and pick up park locations are selected based on the needs of the enrolled families.

Our field trip leaders are hired based on prior experience with children and educational focus. They receive training, become CPR/First Aid/Water Safety certified and are required to have background checks.

I am OBSESSED with this camp. I sent my 4-year-old and 7-year-old for one week this summer. We had a bit of a snafu the first day. Long story but my 4y/o ended up too nervous to attend camp the first day. There were a few things that could have been done differently (both by myself in prepping him and the camp in noticing he was scared). But as soon as I reached out, the director took immediate steps to completely rectify the situation. The next day drop off went perfectly and both my kids had an AMAZING experience the rest of the week. I was not only impressed by the camp itself but their willingness to immediately and effectively address my initial concern. We will be enrolling again next summer and could not recommend this camp more highly!

Questions & Answers
I would like to sign my son up. He’s eight years old. He’s been to a couple of the summer camps before. We would like to invite a friend of his to join him but I believe he’s only seven. Is it possible for his friend to move up into the 8 to 12 year old group so that they can be together? (ATX Summer Camp Adventures) -

Thank you for your question. They would both be able to register for our group of 4-8 year olds. -
Is my 7 year old son allowed to bring a life vest for swimming where he can’t touch. He’s almost at the point of swimming on his own but not quite yet. I don’t want him missing out on anything, especially since he loves the water so much! Also, I ordered him a tank top but want to add a couple more please. Thank you so much (ATX Summer Camp Adventures) -

Thank you for your question. We don't actually take children to swimming pools. We go to splash pads and will sometimes stop along Barton Creek when on a hike. We can invoice you for additional tank tops/shirts, just let us know how many. -
