Elementary Speech and Writing for 2-3rd grade
Monday, Aug. 3 - Friday, Aug. 7
9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-4:00pm
Improve your student's public speaking and writing skills. In camp, students will be taught how to write persuasively and more effectively as well as how to confidently and expressively present in front of an audience.
Elementary Congressional Debate for 4-5th grade
Monday, Aug. 3 - Friday, Aug. 7
9:00am-12:00pm
Bring your Congressional debate skills to the next level. Students will be introduced to a topic of current policy use it to practice necessary debate skills including confident public speaking, organized persuasive writing, and how to respond to arguments off the top of your head. You will finish the week with a better understanding of how laws are passed, the American constitution, and key issues facing the American public.

Your student will be introduced to different types of speech: spontaneous, original, and interpretive. Throughout the week students will be working on improving their persuasive writing skills as well as how to confidently and expressively present in front of an audience.
Middle School Congressional Debate for 6-8th grade
Monday, Aug. 3 - Friday, Aug. 7
9:00am-12:00pm
Bring your Congressional debate skills to the next level. Lincoln-Douglas Debate for 7-12th grade
Monday, Aug. 3 - Friday, Aug. 7

Students will be introduced to Lincoln-Douglas debate, which is a one student against one student format of debate. LD is "value" debate which means that the debate focuses on the values explicit or implicit in the resolution being debated. Students will be learning research, persuasive speaking, active listening, critical thinking, accurate and extensive note-taking, and cross-examination skills.
Policy Debate for 7-12th grade
Monday, Aug. 3 - Friday, Aug. 7
9:00am-12:00pm
Students will be introduced to Policy debate, which is a form of debate competition in which teams of two advocate for and against a resolution that typically calls for policy change by the United States federal government. Students will be learning research, persuasive speaking, active listening, critical thinking, accurate and extensive note-taking, and cross-examination skills.
