Program Cancellation Policy- INCLEMENT WEATHER:
BEan In Nature cancellation policies are based on our investment in staff, course planning, as well as food and equipment purchases before your course. We cannot recover our expenses if you cancel. Short-notice cancellations often prevent others from attending. Nevertheless, we understand that extraordinary circumstances do occur. Please reach out so that we may best assist you.
Cancellation and Refunds
If you need to cancel a registration after your child's program has been in session for 2 weeks, or for our 1x-month programs, BEan In Nature will retain one month's payment as a cancellation service fee per child. This allows us time to attempt to fill the open spot in the program.
If WE cancel a class, we will either:
1. Give you full credit for a later BEan program good now through September 2025. (Accepting a credit rather than a refund allows us to continue providing these critical services and programs);
or
2. Give you a full refund minus nominal non-refundable deposit: Reach out to us via email at beanregistrar2@gmail.com and we will provide a full refund. Please include 'REFUND' in the subject line. Kindly note that it may take up to two weeks to finalize the refund, but we will respond to each and every one of you.
Year Long Program Day Cancellation Policy (not BEan at A Team)
BEan In Nature programs hold class during most all weather. There are occasions, although rare, when dangerous weather or other environmental conditions out of our control, force us to cancel our program in the interests of student and staff safety.
During these rare situations, we take every safety precaution to hold our program when possible by finding safety in other alternatives such as site relocation.
Our plan is to provide a warning the day before if we anticipate inclement weather. We will then confirm with an early morning notification on the day of class to allow for thorough analysis of the safety of the weather, air quality, or other conditions for outdoor activities.
Due to these events being beyond our control, we cannot offer refunds for canceled days. However, when the calendar allows, we make every effort to provide families with an INCLEMENT WEATHER MAKE-UP DAY during the program year.
Some examples when a program may be canceled or cut short include:
Wind Advisory: When wind forecasts predict sustained winds of around 35-40 mph or gusts of around 45-50 mph. Often, wind conditions are site-specific, and the decision to cancel a program will be made in the field on the day of the program.
Heavy Rain: Causing flooding or road closures and site access due to slides.
Air Quality: Air Quality Index above 100 as determined by airnow.gov
Lightning: Lightning is also site specific and will often be determined on the day of the program in the field.
Forest Fires: The location of the fire, smoke, and emergency services alerts will determine program status.
Earthquakes or Other Natural Disasters: These are unpredictable, and decisions will be made based on safety considerations.
If a program is canceled due to low enrollment, tuition and deposits will be fully refundable or transferable.

Year Program Day Cancellation and Inclement Weather Policy:
BEan In Nature programs are held during most weather conditions. However, there are rare occasions when dangerous weather or other environmental conditions beyond our control force us to cancel a program in the interest of student and staff safety. In these rare situations, we take every safety precaution and, when possible, attempt to hold the program by exploring alternative solutions, such as site relocation.
Typically, early morning notifications are sent on the day of class to allow for a thorough assessment of weather, air quality, or other conditions to ensure it is safe to be outside.
Due to these events being beyond our control, we cannot offer refunds for canceled days. However, when the calendar allows, we make every effort to offer families an INCLEMENT WEATHER MAKE-UP DAY during the program year. If a second make-up day is needed, we will provide our ZOOM WILD EARTH CLASS for students that day while we are indoors.
Examples of scenarios where a program may be canceled or cut short include:
Wind Advisory: Sustained winds of 35-40 mph or gusts of 45-50 mph. Wind conditions are often site-specific, and the decision to cancel will typically be made in the field on the day of the program.
Heavy Rain: Flooding, road closures, or site inaccessibility due to landslides.
Air Quality: An Air Quality Index (AQI) above 100, as determined by airnow.gov.
Lightning: Lightning conditions are site-specific and will often be assessed in the field on the day of the program.
Forest Fires: Program status will depend on the fire’s location, smoke conditions, and emergency service alerts.
Earthquakes or Other Natural Disasters: These are unpredictable, and decisions will be made based on safety considerations.
If a program is canceled due to low enrollment, tuition and deposits will be fully refundable or transferable etc.
