Berkeley Buddhist Monastery Camp

Berkeley Buddhist Monastery Camp offers camp to kids, the youth, and adults during the summer break in Berkeley, California. Our program provides activities like storytelling classes, Buddhist stories, connecting to our roots, mindfulness & meditation, appreciative interviews between parents & children, music & songs, and Buddhist gestures of respect. Children absorb their surroundings that later influence them when they are adults. Many of the things children learn now come from media and their friends. They will hear stories of goodness and compassion such as recognizing the kindness of parents - the principles that guide children on how to be good brothers, sisters, and friends. In our camp, adults will also learn storytelling skills to be able to include our children into the rich traditions that each family has. Also, they will learn what the Buddha's teachings have to say about nurturing a harmonious family.
