​An after school program where kids play tabletop games, analyze mechanics & design expansions. Plus: adult game nights, private parties & game sales.

Game Lab: In Studio, we explore and develop modern-day board games. These games are social, fun and promote all sorts of critical thinking! After playing, we discuss our strategies and propose changes to the game. By the time we’re done, we’ve created and “play-tested” a completely new version! In addition to this group collaboration, there is also time for kids to design their own original games!

Our Summer Lab starts with the Game Lab version of chess (new pieces, new modifications), and continues with strategic board games. We take time to create new game designs, new rules, and more. Kids receive merit badges for contributions and collaboration. We also spend an hour outside for outdoor gameplay. The afternoon concludes with role-playing games, design time, and free play.
