California Diving Academy (CDA ~ The Academy) ~ is dedicated to springboard, platform, and high diving (think Olympics and Red Bull Cliff Diving).
Year-round, CDA welcomes and trains all levels and ages (4 - 104); from 1st-time absolute beginners, to elite athletes, and Olympic hopefuls. The Academy also supports myriad local high school diving programs by sharing our coaches with those schools during their season and training their divers in the off-season.
Dryland ~ is a critical component for all aspects of diver training. CDA’s dryland is configured to address all aspects of diver training. From modeling the mechanics of a dive, conditioning (strength and flexibility), mental training, and spotting (diving boards and trampolines) in safety harnesses (spotting rigs – aka “ropes”). The Academy offers one of the most advanced and complete dryland diving centers in the Country. CDA’s dryland center is configured to train serious athletes as well as fast-track any diver through the progressions of safely learning proper mechanics and techniques for any dive at any height.
CDA’s dryland facility contains 3 DuraFlex Maxi-B diving boards along with 2 diving-tuned trampolines ~ all with overhead spotting harnesses, platform training stands, pads, mats, spring floors, Tumbl Trac, weight-training equipment (dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, cages), stall bars, back extension machines, Endless Rope machine, power bands, slam balls, physioballs, and much more.

Pools ~ The Academy offers multiple pool locations throughout the East Bay at various times of the year. CDA’s main pools have both 1m (low) and 3m (high) boards. In addition, The Academy trains on 5m, 7.5m, and 10m towers monthly for those interested in platform diving. At several of our pool facilities we also offer “bubbles” (https://www.facebook.com/CalDivingClub/videos/1869633563064216/). CDA is configured to train serious athletes as well as fast-track first-time divers through progressions to safely learn proper mechanics for dives at any level.
California Diving Academy is a member of both USA Diving and AAU Diving. The two main governing bodies in the sport of springboard and platform diving. USA Diving is the path to the USA Olympic team(s).
