Coding with AI Camp

Students will learn the foundations of JavaScript, master a powerful IDE, and employ cutting edge AI tools to develop a custom website and video game. While learning about AI prompt engineering and other tools, students receive an introduction to modern software development, using AI as a code partner.

• 1 week camp, 2 hours per day Monday-Friday
• Direct-instruction from a CodaKid certified instructor
• Optional assignments after every session

• Day 1: JavaScript Foundations. Students learn foundational JavaScript coding skills and create a fun yet simple game that will prepare them for the start of tomorrow’s AI development project.
• Day 2: WebDev with AI. Students will use generative AI tools to create a simple, yet professional website.
• Day 3: Finish website and begin JS Game. Students will add finishing touches to their website and then begin designing a custom JavaScript game using generative AI as a code partner.
• Day 4: Complete JS game. Students will add sprite animations to their game, add final game elements, get playtest feedback from their peers, and make final changes.
• Day 5: Finish up. Students will use AI to place a fully playable version of their video game on their custom website.
