Developed by MIT, Scratch coding for kids is a great way to introduce kids to computer programming. However, not all ways of learning Scratch are created equal. In fact, it is far from that. Learning coding is much more about developing computational thinking, creativity, and critical thinking than writing a couple of programs.
With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community.
Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.
Scratch is designed, developed, and moderated by the Scratch Foundation, a nonprofit organization. It is provided free of charge.
In this free Scratch class, learn the basics of how to use Scratch with our amazing Sensei’s. Enjoy programs created by other students and work together to build a fun game of your own (for many this is the very first program they have ever built).
