Overview

In this fun, weekly after school program students in grades 2-6 learn to code their own video games, animations and digital art using the MIT-developed programming language called Scratch. Scratch is a fun and creative way for students to use their imaginations, problem solving skills and artistic abilities while having fun and learning how to program their own Scratch projects.

Included in each session:

  • a weekly 90-minute Scratch class led by experienced instructors who provide guidance and inspiration;
  • a maximum of six students for every one instructor;
  • a computer for each student to use during class
  • a Scratch guidebook to take home;
  • an online extended character library (Pokemon, Minecraft and more!) and;
  • an invitation to the club's online Scratch studio where kids can share, play & comment on each other's projects.

The staff is engaging and do a great job of teaching the kids while they have fun. The summer camp with Scratch Coding in the morning and Minecraft in the afternoon is my 7 year old's absolute favorite camp. He learns coding in the morning and builds skills through the week. He has learned so many new Minecraft, skills and enjoys the amazing server they've created.
