My scout said it was pretty boring. It was basically a presentation on fashion through the years. Very little hands on.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback. The way this workshop is set up time-wise is the first 15-20 minutes is a quick overview of Fashion Design through the years. Then, we spent 30-45 minutes of this workshop on actually drawing our own fashion sketches. So, I wonder if your Girl Scout missed part of the workshop? I showed them step by step how to draw a Fashion Croque from scratch (versus using a pre-printed template from the internet) and as we were drawing, we looked at Fashion Sketches from well-known designer and talked about proportion, mood, and color as elements of design. Once we finished that bulk of time in the workshop drawing our sketches, we shared them with the group one by one and talked about each person's design. At the end, we watched a 5 minute video that showcases one designer's creative process from sketch to runway, just to give everyone an idea of what a career in Fashion Design is like. I definitely understand that not every class is successful with every student, but I feel that saying it isn't hands on is inaccurate given that most of the time allotted for the workshop is when we are drawing and creating our own personal Fashion Designs. Even if we disagree on whether the workshop was fun, I want to thank you for taking my workshop. I love working with Girl Scouts and I appreciate every student.
