Daisy Child Development Center

Daisy Child Development Center is a preschool in Oakland, CA that is licensed to care for up to 71 children ages 18 months to 6 years old. Led by Director Feyrouze Chunara, the Daisy CDC staff are dedicated to fostering a play-based community that seeks to help young children develop wholesome relationships, learn problem-solving skills and become critical observers of their environment. 

Since taking over at Daisy, Fey has implemented a  STEAM Transitional Kindergarten program, and has also worked to bring a number of enrichment programs for all age groups including yoga, soccer, Spanish, and carpentry.  Aside from the curriculum improvements she has added a gazebo in the big yard where children can explore art in fresh air and an updated play structure to enhance safety during all times. Here at Daisy, we cherish childhood. In the midst of helping develop the character of each child, our staffers are actively involving children in play-based activities, including arts & crafts, science projects, cooking, music, drama and good old run around the yard fun.
