Destination Science

My son had a great time this week at the Wild Robot camp. He really enjoyed all the science activities and loved the counselors.

Not a fun time for my 6 year old. It was struggle to get my kiddo into this camp daily, The kids had near zero time outside and (I was told) it was more like a classroom where kids couldn’t play and were expected to “sit” most of the day. Of course I wasn’t there but for the money paid vs facility housed and daily updates from my kid this is a no go for us but maybe fun for others.

The program finds the most innovative ways to teach science in a way that appeals to many age levels. Kids come home with the coolest tools and toys! We still use the tiny pocket microscope and the kids are in high school!

My boys (10 & 9yrs), really enjoyed themselves. I only signed up for 1 week of camp and they were disappointed that the other camps have a wait list. I asked them if they felt to old, they said no and are looking forward to attending camp next summer.

This camp is very disappointing. There is no marine science involved, and hardly any robotics. The main activity is to assemble almost-complete toy kits. There is not much the kids can do other than following instructions.

This year was our first time to try this summer camp. It was a very good experience and the camp staffs were friendly. My kid loved to go to the camp. Definitely will go back next year!!

For the first few days, I’d ask: “what did you learn today?” Or “what did you make today?” My daughter would say: “Nothing, really....” The third day, when I came to pick her up, she brought me inside and showed me all of the projects and assignments she had been working on. I asked, “why did you tell me you weren’t learning anything?” She said: “I just really wanted to be able to *show* you!”

This camp was well-run, well-organized, safe, and educational. My daughter loved it, which I also loved!

My child liked this camp a great deal, all while learning about science and engineering concepts. Frankly, I even re-learned because of the excited chatter after camp. The counselors used some sort of bead system for rewarding good behavior, which motivated my child very well too. I took a star off because extended care seemed a bit dull -- just hanging out in a class room chatting with the counselors-- but to be fair, I didn't get complaints. It would also make it so much more convenient to have coverage until 5:30 pm. If that's not an issue, and your child likes STEM, this camp is overall a well-run, educational, and fun camp experience.

Wonderful camp and instructors. Web site didn't work when needed, we had to have sign out passes downloaded from their web site after login (we didn't receive login details)- that sucked. Your child will be happy working on the projects and bringing some cool stuff home.

This is a great camp with a lot of science activities for kids. They bring home a lot of material, and they actually learn some science and engineering concepts. The location in Pasadena is beautiful with ample space and easy parking.

My 9 yr old liked it so I might enroll her and younger one again next year!!

I would definitely recommend this venue to others!! My great grandson attended the Transforming Robot Camp in Frisco, TX. The instructors were energetic, positive, and caring. He really enjoyed it; however, developed an ear infection and could not complete the camp.

Mary was understanding and supportive, and indicated they'd provide a credit that could be applied to the next Robot Camp opportunity. I am waiting for the confirmation note. Thank you!

Super friendly staff. Before the week was over my boys were asking if they could come back again next year. There is a good split of time with indoor and outdoor play. The kids love bringing home their projects at the end of the week.

My grand daughter loved her Destination Science Camps!

We loved our week at Destination Science. Each day brought a new, fun and cool project - virtual reality, robot building, solving a mystery. Candice, Jeremy, and Ana were amazing camp counselors. They were very attentive to the kids, and have great tools for recognizing their positive behaviors and catching them doing something right. The facility was safe and clean. We will be back next year!

Los gators location: a good camp has a "zing" when everyone is pulling together and playing together; this camp just didn't have it. It wasn't bad, just wasn't good. Curriculum didn't lend it self to sufficient free play, the extended care was staffed by a young person who was in over her head. Camp Galileo, Walden West, and Steve and Kate's all better bets in our area. Also, an entire bag of plastic toys came home with each kids.

Fantastic camp - my 8 year old daughter loved it. The only problem was that her younger siblings were jealous of all the cool stuff she brought home, from a solar balloon to various rockets! We will do again next year (and reduce jealously by signing up her younger brother next time too!) and recommend highly

My son absolutely loved this camp! He came home with cool creations/inventions every day and was super enthusiastic about everything he did in the camp. It was awesome!

He loved it! He was so excited to come home each day and talk about what he did that day. His rocket was amazing, it launched higher than any stomp rocket we've ever bought!

It's so awesome, you can build the coolest things you have built in whole entire life.

My son had a wonderful time at the superhero week. When I asked him if he was learning about strength when he told me how many paper clips a beetle could hold, or the bridge he built could hold, he told me that they don't learn at camp they just have fun. Each day he came home with a huge smiling excited to show me and tell me all about his day. A great experience!

Our almost 6-year-old grandson loved Destination Science and his teacher Miss Sarah. Every day he said was better than the previous one. He came back saying "I love science!"

My sons loved destination science! Emily was especially helpful. Emily worked so well with my very active and curious boys and helped them not only have a lot of fun, but learn new interesting things, play with new friends they loved and feel confident about themselves. The boys want another week!! Thanks DS.

A friend asked if our son would like to attend Destination Science with her son. The location of the camp was ideal for both our families and it's always a plus if the kids are learning while having fun. Our son enjoyed the teacher as well as the content. He has been playing with his dinosaur robot all afternoon!

My twin boys loved going there each day. They learned so much and were missing not going there on the weekend:) They loved all the things they made & use what they have learned. Wish there were more classes available, so they could go back.

This camp (for our going-in-to-First-grader) was our first experience with Destination Science camps. We couldn't have been happier. Very engaging and thoughtful counselors, great activities, and fun learning experience(s) for my son. He'll definitely be a repeat camper!

Always a favorite! Awesome, fun staff and lots of cool swag to bring home from camp each day. We sign up for the full four week program every Summer and with early sign up/multi-week discounts it's actually a pretty affordable camp.

This is a fantastic camp. My kids loved it. They learned a lot and the counselors were wonderful. We can't wait to do it again.

Best camp in the inland empire. My daughter can't wait to go this summer! It's definitely worth the investment and creates great memories that are sure to last a lifetime. I highly recommend this camp for anyone considering it.

One of the few camps that my son will go to, even when he doesn't have any friends that are signed up with him.

My son has been going for the last 2 years & loves all the projects. It is definitely his favorite camp, I highly recommend this program!
