Dungeons & Dragons, Demigod Style

HOW IT WORKS: In this D&D two hour weekly workshop, each player, ages 11-15 create their own character to play, who embark upon imaginary adventures within a fantasy setting. Our game will continue over a series of meetings to complete a single adventure, and longer into a series of related gaming adventures, called a "campaign". This Virtual campaign is slated to take place once a week for 6 weeks on Saturdays, 5pm-7pm PST. There are players from Beijing, China to New York City and every where in between.

Each week, after a brief welcome, all the players will be sent into Zoom Breakout rooms with their Dungeon Master (DM) who serves as the game's referee and storyteller. Camp Demigod’s young, experienced DMs maintain the setting in which the adventures occur, and play the role of the inhabitants of the game world. The characters form a party and they interact with the setting's inhabitants and each other. Together they solve dilemmas, engage in battles, explore, and gather treasure and knowledge. In the process, the characters earn experience points (XP) in order to rise in levels, and become increasingly powerful over a series of separate gaming sessions.
