MAD SCIENCE CAMP
Monday-Friday, July 23-27
8:30am-4:30pm (extended hours 8:30am-5:30pm available)
Ages 6-11

Our younger campers love potions. This week the young campers explore chemistry by creating potions that change color, fizz, bubble and smoke, learn about polymers, make non-Newtonian fluids, and study the power of magnetism.

Older campers conduct laboratory experiments involving chemical reactions, experiment with polymers, create metal crystals, and explore electricity with circuits and magnetism with ferrofluid.

Campers should bring two snacks, lunch and a water bottle each day, and wear close-toed shoes.

My little girl really loved the Mad scientist camp. She had a ton of fun with all the experiments and learned so much. Her only complaint was that there wasnt as many "potion" experiments as she has really hoped for. In the explanation for the Mad scientist camp, the literal first line was about for kids who love potions. She said all week she only did just a few.

Hi Deborah, Thanks for your message. It depends on which program you are inquiring about. Our Young Explorers classes (3-5 year olds) require parent participation during class. Parents sometimes stay for the first week of homeschool classes, and during Girl Scout workshops as well. Parents do not stay for after-school programs, Parents' Night Out or our camps. Hopefully, I covered the program you are interested in. If not, please let me know so I can clarify. Thanks for your interest, Tonya -
