EVOLVE is a specialty martial arts school specializing in Aikido; a Japanese martial art. Small classes. Masterful instructors. Great community! The core program at Evolve is Aikido; a Japanese martial art that helps people become Safer, Healthier and More Confident.

Aikido is great for all ages and physical abilities because it uses natural body movements and doesn't require a lot of physical strength to master. Evolve also offers Homeschool PE classes and Be Your Own Hero self-defense classes. If you're a movement practitioner that needs a space to teach or practice, Evolve also has hourly space-time for rent.

Sensei Brandy Lucky - Owner 

She holds a 4th-degree BlackBelt in Aikido and a BlackBelt in Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu. Sensei Lucky has lived and done business in Contra Costa County for 15 years. After raising her 2 kids, she felt compelled to get back to teaching Aikido.

Brandy is also the creator of Be Your Own Hero, a powerful, customized system of realistic self-defense. BYOH is the LAST self-defense program you’ll ever need. She is also the proud Mom of 2 teen daughters and loves to travel and camp.
