Fastbreak Sports

Fastbreak Sports is a youth sports center in NYC where kids and teens improve their athletic abilities, get teamwork skills, and have a great time. Our unique coaching methods are designed to instill self-confidence and teach leadership skills that will last a lifetime. We provide classes, teams and leagues that are perfect for kids who want to learn to pass and shoot, to throw and catch, or who just love the wonderful world of sports. We’ve trained 2,000 young athletes and counting!

Fastbreak Kids: our Multi-Sport program designed to expose children ages 2-5 to a number of new skills and sports. Every 2-3 weeks children will be introduced to a new sport including basketball, baseball, soccer, football, tennis and floor hockey.

Each class will incorporate age-appropriate skills, within a structured coaching environment, to help develop coordination, agility and instill a love of team play in each child. Our low child to coach ratio makes for a safe, fun and engaging class that is sure to be a blast.

Kindergarten through High School: Through the fundamentals of Basketball and Flag Football, our unique approach celebrates the love of sports and gives kids the competitive edge in a fun and playful atmosphere. We have developed training techniques and methods that provide an incredible experience for children as they hone their skills through play.

Lonny Levine - Founder

Lonny Levine is the President/CEO and Founder of Fastbreak Sports/Fastbreak Kids. An avid athlete himself, Lonny recognized the need for proper sports training for boys and girls growing up in the New York City area when his son began playing competitive basketball at the age of nine. Fastbreak Sports was born in 2007, as an outlet for NYC youths like Lonny’s son and his peers to develop their skills through a “fundamentals first” approach to learning and participating in sports. Since its inception, Fastbreak Sports has coached over 2,000 kids and has developed strategic alliances with leaders in the basketball and sports community such the NY KNICKS, IMG Academy and Point Guard College.

Seeking to develop the scope and depth of Fastbreak Sports, Lonny embarks on the natural development of the company’s philosophy by opening a first of its kind dedicated indoor youth sports facility on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in the fall of 2013. Fastbreak Sports will serve school-age children from grades K-12 in the new facility.

Before starting Fastbreak Sports, Lonny was a partner in a privately-held clothing company. In his 20+ year business career, Lonny was instrumental in the creation, building, marketing and management of that business. A graduate of the American University, Lonny Levine was born and raised in NYC and attended Columbia Prep., where he played boys’ varsity basketball and baseball.
