Genesis Learning Academy

Genesis Learning Academy Childcare & Development Center (GLA) abides by the Division of Child Development rules and regulations, in addition to our own policies and procedures.​Involving families in our program is a top priority. This helps build a partnership and help children make the connection between home and the Center. 

We want to serve as an extension of your family and sharing ideas and genuine love for children is of the utmost importance. We encourage parents to visit and participate in school activities, and our open door policy allows parents to come and visit unannounced and as often as they choose to, as long as your child is enrolled in the program.​

The Purpose of Genesis Learning Academy is to be a premier childcare facility who focuses on a high functioning based curriculum and merging learning with engaging fun for all children.​

Our Staff

Educational focus will be the success of our program. Therefore, We ensure that all of our staff are highly qualified professionals. ​Our full-time Floating Teachers have at least an introductory course in Early Childhood Education and are required to pursue at least 12 additional credit hours.​

GLA Afternoon Assistants have completed an introductory course in Early Childhood Education, and many continue to take courses.​Prior to employment, each staff member is carefully evaluated to ensure a good match with our program philosophy and goals to educate and care for our children.  

This process includes an in-depth -step interview with the administrators, reference checks, observation of the applicant interacting with children in a classroom, input from staff about those interactions, and a criminal background check through the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education.
