GridLock Academy is an affiliate Jiu Jitsu Training Center of the Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Network.  GridLock Academy is dedicated to the finest expressions of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The practical approach to self defense has been handed down to us from Grand Master Helio Gracie and his son Master Royce Gracie. We are committed to providing a Realistic Approach to Self Defense in our community and the world. We are dedicated to maintaining the Legacy of Helio Gracie.

Our Helio 40 Self Defense Program is dedicated to the original first 40 classes Helio Gracie created for his Private Students. These are the "Must Know Techniques" the Grand Master believed are significant for survival in a real life threatening situation. We have taken a technical martial art and simplified it through our teachings. These technical breakdowns of each technique in Helio 40 and the secrets of his teaching method has been taught to our instructors for the last 24 years.

Coach Mark is the owner of GridLock Academy, established in April of 2008. Coach has dedicated his life and sons to the preservation of Grand Master Helio Gracie Legacy since 1995. He holds a prestigious title as Instructor under MMA Legend Master Royce Gracie.
