I Can Do That! Performing Arts Center

Our Mission is to foster empowered, flourishing youth through sustained community, wellness, and the power of the performing arts.

Shayna Ronen - Co-Founder and Executive Producer

Shayna is a native of Walnut Creek and discovered theater at the age of 9 under the direction of Edward Belasco in the Belasco Theater Company. Over the next ten years, she performed locally with numerous theater companies and trained with The Ballet School, Lawrence Pech and private vocal instructor Lucia Scardigno. 

She moved to New York in 2001 and graduated with a degree in Psychology, Linguistics, and Philosophy from New York University. Shayna is a proud mother of two young boys who teach her every day how to be curious, bold, and full of humor. She is overjoyed to be bringing her love of theatre to a new generation of performers and to provide the Bay Area with some OUTSTANDING musical theatre.

I can't tell you how happy I am that ICDT is here in Danville! The owners have put their heart and soul into a truly wonderful organization. My child loved the theater summer camp and can't wait for the fall programming to begin. They have such a fun program, and it's so nice that there is an in-house café...such a tasty way to support the arts! We look forward to seeing what's next at ICDT. Thank you, Shayna and Jarusha, for bringing this to our community!

Our community is so lucky to have such a wonderful resource for our children. Shayna and Jarusha truly love what they do and it shows in every inch of this new facility and in their dedication to making it happen despite the setbacks of COVID. We were excited to find ICDT a few years ago for our daughter and through the classes offered discovered her passion for theater. We've been amazed in how much she's learned and grown as a performer and in the quality of the shows that she has been a part of. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the teachers, atmosphere and students here. It's a special place that is so very welcoming to all. I promise you'll be happy you introduced your child to ICDT and chances are they will never want to leave-not kidding!

You will find no better community for your children than ICDT. Shayna and Jarusha are truly wonderful humans that bring love and experience to every class, program, show, minute you are around them. I feel lucky to have found a place my daughter can feel love, accepted, and can shine. Their dedication, enthusiasm, love and professionalism are unparalleled. What a great gift; we are all fortunate to have a place like this for our children.
