Seeking an engaging, fulfilling, and character-building leadership opportunity for tweens and teens?

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program at Innovation for Youth offers a fun leadership experience while giving youth the opportunity to learn innovative activities.

CITs get to enjoy all the exciting activities our camps provide while also developing essential life skills like communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management.

They will gain experience in teamwork and collaboration as part of our camp staff, all while building confidence and a sense of empowerment. Acting as extra eyes, ears and helping hands for our Counselors and Camp Leadership Team (CLT), CITs will serve as role models for younger campers.

For 11-14 year olds aiming to become future Counselors, this program is an ideal stepping stone. Many of our current Counselors and CLTs began their journey as CITs. It’s a wonderful opportunity for personal growth, skill development, and volunteer experience.

Our daughter had a great time and the entire staff was super supportive and able to pivot when the unexpected happened. They helped maximize her experience so she felt successful in her role as a CIT.
