Overview
In this Spanish immersion class, the interests and natural curiosities of the children form the basis for an emergent curriculum. I use songs, age-appropriate books and stories, puppets, and visual aids to transmit Spanish language. Humor is a constant presence in my classroom. We laugh, joke, and enjoy each other - in Spanish, of course!

MOVEMENT IN SPANISH
Drawing upon this age group's natural affinity for kinesthetic learning and simultaneously working on gross motor skills, we will dance, jump, clap, slither, and balance our way through Spanish vocabulary. The class will be held in a child-friendly room with abundant natural light - ideal for free movement.

FREE PLAY IN SPANISH
During each of the sessions the children will also spend a portion of the time playing freely and cooperatively with me and each other. I then take this opportunity to interact one-on-on with each child entirely in Spanish. Using their play as a context and focal point for natural language transmission, the children engage me with developmentally relevant toys and activities.

I am writing today to highly recommend the services of my son's Spanish teacher, Ms. Janel Moses. When we decided to introduce our son to Spanish (he is 3.5 years old), we were looking for a mommy and me style class that and he and I could take together as I thought he would learn best in a class setting if I participated with him and that way I could learn a bit myself. We ended up working with Janel because I couldn't find a set class to fit my schedule and we are SO lucky to have found her. Janel does private, customized Spanish lessons for my son and they are AMAZING. Justin is extremely bright but he is very much a free spirit and does best in an environment where is he allowed to roam from activity to activity both expressing his creativity and expending his countless volumes of energy! Janel totally "got" my son after the first session with him and has done a wonderful job of planning fun activities for each class that cater to his interests and are flexible enough to keep his attention. She is extremely qualified and creative and she absolutely adores children! After just three sessions with Janel my son is already counting in Spanish and he so looks forward to meeting with her each week. We spent the last class doing water and sand play in the park with toy animals and learning the names of each one in Spanish :-) I cannot express the joy the feel when watching him laughing and playing with her and all the while learning and loving a new language- it is truly a magical experience!

Janel is fabulous - so nice, so knowledgable, such a great teacher and great with kids. My son takes her class and loves it! He's only been in 2 months and without any Spanish at home, has about 100+ words and can count in Spanish. I highly recommend the class.

We have found an amazing Spanish tutor to recommend (referred to us by another PAMP family)! Janel Moses has been working with our high schooler. She has done a wonderful job of learning what is happening in the classroom now and also "catching up" in areas where there were gaps in vocabulary and grammar. She is very focused on finding the most effective study techniques for the student and it has certainly paid off. My son's quote: "She makes the lessons fun and entertaining." He is more confident and his marks have jumped up with Janel's help.
