JulieArt Lessons

JulieArt offers classes and summer workshops where classes are set up with no more than five students. Instructor places an early emphasis on the aesthetic breakdown of lines, shapes, value, color and texture. Through demonstration and specific technique exercises students practice with each medium such as colored pencil, chalk pastel, oil pastel, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, and begin to use advanced mediums as they progress.

Each student works at their own pace learning to draw and paint with practice pictures, and with creative freedom working in a sketchbook learning to build on what ideas work in resolving a piece of artwork. With creative support students are guided to complete their artwork, as well as to pursue their individual route of interest. We integrate art history and art theory into lessons as sources of inspiration and knowledge. Easels, drawing benches, and materials are provided.
