Kung-fu San Soo in Cypress is a life-changing art with one of the best instructors around. We build character, confidence, fitness and overall well being. Sanshou (San Soo), also known as Chinese boxing. San soo is a martial art which was originally developed by the Chinese military based upon the study and practices of traditional Kung fu and modern combat fighting techniques; it combines full-contact kickboxing, which includes close range and rapid.

Successive punches and kicks, with wrestling, takedowns, throws, sweeps, kick catches, and, even elbow and knee strikes. San Soo is not seen as a style itself, but rather is considered as just one of the two components of Chinese martial arts training and is often taught alongside Wushu Taolu (forms) training.

Jūnshì San Soo (Pinyin, Military Free Fighting): A system of unarmed combat that was designed by Chinese Elite Forces based upon their intense study of traditional martial arts such as traditional Kung Fu, Shuai Jiao, Chin Na and modern hand-to-hand fighting and combat philosophy to develop a realistic system of unarmed fighting for the Chinese military.

I earned my first master degree in 2004 by master Larry Dusatko, my second master degree by master Bill Hulsey (know for preserving The Old style of San Soo) in 2015, and my third and last master degree from master Carl Lorenzen (known as the author of the 5 main Black Belt books with Lo Sifu Jimmy H. Woo) in 2017. I've over 33 years of training and experience with more than 20 years officially teaching.
