Ladera Rec Summer Camp

Our camp operates five days a week, Monday-Friday, 10am-1pm. Attendees are divided into groups by age. The LRD will host a lunch every Friday at noon and parents are invited to join us. Campers need to bring lunch Mon-Thurs. in a container (lunch provided on Fridays) and swim suit and towel (every day) all clearly marked with the camper’s name. All clothing and shoes should also have names as they have a habit of going astray! Parents – please apply sun-screen before camp and provide hats if your children are very sun-sensitive. Many of our activities are on the fields, so shoes should not be open. (No sandals.) 

 Field games are so much fun and we are anticipating making full use of the fields. We have a wonderful group of camp counselors to ensure the safe and fun experience for all ages. Activities include arts & crafts, sports, games, events, as well as classic camp favorites. Camp Ladera also incorporates a half-hour swim time every day. Our campers have the option of organized pool games, monitored free-swim, or out-of-pool activities. Pre-K swim takes place in the wading pool unless the parent requests otherwise.

We believe that all kids should have the chance to play and have fun without any pressures. Our program is low-key and our campers are encouraged to participate in a variety of creative, interactive, indoor and outdoor activities. We do, however, expect all our campers to follow rules and treat other campers with respect. Bad behavior will not be tolerated and campers may be asked to leave the program if they are disruptive to other campers.
