Join Magikid Cupertino Robotics Lab for our VEX IQ beginner Foundation Class designed for students interested in competing in the VEX IQ robotics competition! This intensive two-week program focuses on honing advanced skills in robot design, programming, and strategic planning to prepare participants for success in the upcoming competition.
Our Magikid teams have always performed excellently, and this year our Elememtary School Team even won the world championship! Our VEX courses are personally designed by Magikid's head coach with years of championship experience, and taught by the VEX VRC high school team champion captain. This is a rare opportunity, so sign up soon!
Throughout the course, students will work in teams to design and build their robots using VEX IQ building pieces. They will learn about advanced engineering concepts, such as mechanism design, motion planning, and sensor integration. They will also develop programming skills using VEX code, and learn to create complex autonomous routines to remotely control their robot.
In addition to technical skills, students will develop strategic planning and teamwork skills, which are critical components for success in the competition. They will learn how to analyze competition rules and design strategies to maximize their robot's performance as well as how to effectively communicate and collaborate with their teammates.
By the end of the course, students will be well-equipped to compete in the VEX IQ robotics competition, with a deep understanding of robot design, programming, and strategy. They will have developed critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills that will serve them well in the competition and beyond.
