Cancellation Policy
Effective March 11, 2023
Send an email to training@makernexus.org with the subject “Class Cancellation Request” or “Class Change Request”
In the body, please include: Participant’s Name; Class name; the Class date and time (and the date and time for the new Class if requesting a transfer); and whether the reason for the cancellation or change is illness related.
Please allow up to 3 business days (M-F) for processing and up to 10 business days for any credits or refunds to be issued.
Requested cancellations, transfers, credits, and refunds will be processed and issued depending on the number of days’ advance notice you give Maker Nexus before the scheduled start date of the Class.
Participant Initiated Cancellations or Changes:
Cancellation Requests
8+ Business Days:
Enrollment will be canceled and spot opened for new registrations. Students on the waitlist will have priority access to these spots.
Refund for registration & materials fees, minus a $5 processing fee per canceled class, will be issued back to the credit card used to pay for class.
Please allow up to 5 business days after processing for the returned funds to appear on your credit card statement.
2 - 7 Business Days:
Enrollment will be canceled and spot opened for new registrations. Students on the waitlist will have priority access to these spots.
Credit for the value of the registration fees, minus a $10 processing fee per canceled class, will be awarded to the user’s ActivityHero account.
Materials fees will not be refunded or credited because materials will have already been purchased for the class.
Credits provided by MN may be used toward the cost of any other class, camp or workshop offered by MN on ActivityHero.
Credits expire 6 months from the date the credit is processed.
Less Than 2 Business Days:
No changes or transfers will be processed.
No refunds or credits will be issued for registration & materials fees.
Enrollment will be canceled and spot opened for new registrations. Students on the waitlist will have priority access to these spots.
Due to short notice, we may not be able to fill the vacant spot with a new registration, but we really appreciate the heads up!
Change or Transfer Requests
More Than 2 Business Days:
Enrollment will be transferred into the requested new class session.
If the requested session is full, the participant will be added to the waitlist.
A spot will be opened up in the original class for new registrations. Students on the waitlist will have priority access to these spots.
No processing fee will be charged.
Any price difference between sessions will be either refunded or invoiced.
Outstanding balances must be paid before the new registered class date.
Less Than 2 Business Days:
No changes or transfers will be processed.
No refunds or credits will be issued for registration & materials fees.

Maker Nexus Initiated Cancellations:
If we cancel due to state, county, or school health orders or mandates more than 7 business days before the start of the Class, you will receive a 90% refund to the original payment method and a 10% credit that expires on September 1 of the following year.
For cancellations of this type made fewer than 7 business days before the start of the Class, you will be issued a full credit that expires 6 months from the date the credit is processed.
If we cancel for any other reason (such as low enrollment), you can choose between a 100% refund to the original payment method, or a 105% credit that expires 6 months from the date the credit is processed. Low enrollment cancellations will be assessed the day before the start of the session.
