Maloneys' Horses and Ponies
We offer an outstanding horseback riding lesson program in a beautiful ocean view location. We teach the English style of riding, emphasizing safety and development of a basic balanced position both on the flat and over fences.
We offer camp programs and schooling horse shows. The owner and main instructor, Cheryl Maloney, spent 12 years as the Program Director of the Stanford Riding School before relocating to Half Moon Bay. She brings to the table diverse theories from many aspects of horsemanship with a deep focus on each student's personal achievement, effectiveness, and advancement, thus far surpassing simple equitation instruction.
Regardless of experience, we welcome all students with a genuine interest in riding and horsemanship, and will work to develop a rewarding relationship.
Our Staff
Cheryl Maloney, proprietor, is from Chicago, Illinois and has trained and instructed throughout the U.S. and England. She combines a British Horse Society (BHS) accreditation and over 20 years teaching experience, running the Stanford Riding School program for the last 12 years.
She brings vast knowledge of techniques to develop overall horsemanship. Her extremely detailed instruction and lesson plans involving both horse and rider, afford riders of all levels an understanding of true horsemanship.
