About
Moonstone Riding Academy and Show Barn

Moonstone Riding Academy offers lessons to various ages, from children to adults. Whether it's your first time on a horse, or you're a returning rider, our lesson programs are catered to your needs and ability. We believe in building our rider's confidence and moving forward through positive reinforcement.

Our lesson program is an all-season program. This means that if the weather is less than favorable, we still conduct our lessons by teaching our students ground horsemanship, equine care, and the theory of riding. We believe that being an equestrian does not involve just riding; but also the proper care of our equine partner.

Lessons are conducted and instructed to the student's ability. Instructors will evaluate the student and decide how the lesson program should progress from then on. Our instructors learn about their students in order to teach them in the best way they can, in a way the student will be able to understand while still keeping the lesson interesting and engaging.

Moonstone's humble roots began in Santiago Canyon with our head trainer, Kim Stanford, and her daughter, Sami Riffenburgh-Franco. Together, the two have worked on building their riding academy and sharing their love for horses and the equestrian sport to many others.

Through hard work and dedication, Moonstone Riding Academy grew to become home to many wonderful horses and fantastic riders. We welcome you to join us and become part of our horse-crazy barn family!

Highly recommended!! I've been riding with Kim since 2014. Kim Stanford and her staff have a full service show barn & riding school catering from everybody to the first time beginner, occasional weekend rider or serious show riders competing on the local, regional and national level horse shows.

Thank you Marce,
Yes, we help riders at any level they would like to achieve. No matter what level they are at it is our most cherished moments when a rider is smiling from ear to ear when they accomplish a skill they had been work on and then we know we are adding great experiences to their life that they will remember forever
