Moreno Dance Academy
Moreno Dance Academy (MDA) opened its doors in 2012 in Anaheim, California, under the direction of Ms. Tina Moreno. From the beginning, MDA has grown leaps and bounds and we pride ourselves in developing a strong, technical foundation for our dancers to flourish whether enrolled in classes for the recreational dancer or classes for the pre-professional. We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tumble/acro, Hip Hop, & Zumba. Recreational & Competitive classes offered.
Lyrical is a style of dance that embodies blending the styles of ballet, jazz, modern, acro styles together. Lyrical is strong in the technical foundation and utilizes technique and expression to perform and tell the story.
Jazz dance is a style that comes from the blending of several different genres that came before it. It is a blend of ballet, modern, Broadway, and theatrical becoming very popular since the 1950s.

Tina Moreno - Owner/ Instructor
Tina has been dancing for 33 years and is trained in the Cecchetti method of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tumble, and acro. She has trained under numerous pivotal dancers and choreographers in the dance world, including but not limited to Linda Buell, Carrie Buell, Lynetta Neuner, Claylee Stewart, Nick Yonko, and David Damon, and has had the opportunity to work with dance professionals such as Debbie Reynolds, Debbie Allen, Mia Michaels, and Roland Dupree.
