Mt. Aetna Camp and Retreat Center

Mt. Aetna Camp and Retreat Center is a facility dedicated to supporting Christian ministries by providing them a place to regroup, reconnect and relax in the splendor of God’s woodlands.

Outdoor School: A Wondrous Place Our outdoor school is the perfect educational setting where your hands, feet, eyes, ears, nose, and mind are all immersed in the subject. By providing interactive learning opportunities out in nature, we aim to capture the imagination of the students and introduce them to the outdoors as a wondrous place to explore and study.

Summer Camp is a great way to spend a week or two during the summer months. The Chesapeake Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Youth Department holds five weeks of boarding camp a summer, plus several outpost camps. They also run FLAG Camps (Day camps) at a number of locations. The camp program is open to children of all faiths but is based on Christianity. Camps are provided for specific age levels from 1st grade through high school.

Our standard program is designed for students in fifth to eighth grades. It is offered during the spring and fall months and meets Monday through Wednesday. During this three day, two-night program students will participate in 4 nature-oriented classes, a full day of challenge course activities, night hikes, games, canoeing and worships tied to the theme of the year. Two nights cabin lodging and seven meals are included in the package.
