This program is geared toward students who are interested in competing in speech and debate with a middle or high school team. Coaches help students take a deep dive into one speech style and one debate format offered by the California High School Speech Association. Students can choose between interpretation, platform/original, and limited prep for speech and and Lincoln-Douglas, Parliamentary, and Public Forum for debate.
Students will practice event-specific competition skills. The morning session will focus on speech, and the afternoon session will focus on debate. Camp will culminate in a mini-tournament on Friday.
Co-enroll in Intro to Competitive Speech & Debate (takes place before ACSD) for an introduction to competition! Students may choose to do speech (morning) or debate (afternoon) ONLY at a reduced price if they have already committed to one event and are looking for targeted enrichment.
